# Kiro Moussa

> Kiro Moussa is a student, founder, and designer at MIT (Class of 2029), studying Computer Science, Economics & Data Science. He builds AI-native products across GovTech, FinTech, and developer tools, and is focused on creating impact that actually changes and helps the world.

Born in Egypt and raised through the 2011 Revolution before moving to California at age 7, Kiro is bilingual in Arabic and English. He started running Minecraft servers on Windows Server 2016 at age 12 — his shift from user to system architect. He is a staff writer at The Tech (MIT's independent newspaper since 1881), was accepted into the Y Combinator Startup School June 2026 cohort, and was selected for the TekTrek student-founder residency in San Francisco (Summer 2026).

- [SignalVector](https://signalvector.live): Prediction-market trading engine with five independent signal sources across Kalshi & Polymarket, Kelly-sized positions, and ten risk checks per order. FinTech.
- [Nystagmus Vision](https://sites.google.com/view/nystagmuskiro/): Computer-vision software that counter-oscillates on-screen text to match involuntary eye movement, stabilizing reading for patients with nystagmus. Awarded 2x Silver at RCSEF.

## Background & timeline

- Origins: Born in Egypt; grew up during the 2011 Revolution; moved to California at 7; bilingual in Arabic & English.
- 2023 — Research: Built Nystagmus Vision (2x Silver, RCSEF). Led FTC Robotics Team 8472 as Captain, writing Java for autonomous routines scoring up to 150 pts. Volunteered 4–8 hrs/week at Loma Linda University Hospital; founded the school Coding Club.
- 2024 — National Online Champions in Academic Decathlon. Accepted to QuestBridge National College Match. Applied to 40+ programs; selected for 13 fly-in programs across 9 states.
